Design-bid-build is when an owner already has a building design drawn up under a separate contract with their own architect. After this step, the project is sent out to contractors for the most competitive construction bid.  This is typically a longer process and is used when the architectural design is under very complex or specific requirements. This delivery method is used when the project is under a very strict budget but is not time-sensitive.

Does March take on design-bid-build projects?

March encourages our clients to use our design build services to save time and have a more seamless project delivery experience. However, if you are already under contract with an architect and have a design created for your project, that is okay! March is happy to work with your architect and use their design to give you an estimate for the construction portion of your project.
