March Construction is proud to announce that The Yard in Wayne, New Jersey, has received a 2026 New Good Neighbor Award from the New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA).
Featured in NJBIA Magazine as “A Vibrant Retail Destination,” the 10,500-square-foot development was recognized for transforming a longtime funeral home property at 1591 Alps Road into a modern, pedestrian-friendly retail center that benefits the surrounding community.
Developed and built by March Construction in collaboration with The Dietz Partnership, G.S. Wilcox & Co., and Kearny Bank, the $7 million project was designed to bring new life and activity to the Hamburg Turnpike corridor.
The Yard features a diverse mix of tenants, including Crumbl, District Taco, European Wax Center, OHM Fitness, GNC, Mathnasium, and Nekter Juice Bar. Together, these businesses are creating local jobs, contributing to the tax base, and providing a convenient destination for shopping, dining, fitness, and educational services.
Located next to DePaul Catholic High School, The Yard also serves as a welcoming gathering place for students, faculty, staff, and nearby residents.
March Construction is honored to receive this recognition and proud to have helped transform an underused property into a vibrant destination for the Wayne community.
