March Construction is taking over Phase 1 of the project from a previous contractor to ensure that the job is completed with the highest quality standards.
Phase 1 of the project consists of a 65,000 square foot retail building on the corner of Bay Street and Borough Place. This building is designed to have retail, fresh food restaurants, and entertainment spaces to cater to the needs of the local community and visitors alike. Above this building, a residential tower will be constructed with approximately 115 rental apartments, 20% of which will be permanently dedicated to affordable housing. The construction of a 300-space parking structure will provide ample parking for the project’s users and local commuters.
The commercial space in Lighthouse Point has already attracted tenants such as SPACES (Regus) co-working office space, The Learning Experience, and a FRESH qualified grocer. These tenants are a testament to the project’s potential to become a thriving business and residential hub in Staten Island.
